The 1978 album "City to City" was the second solo studio album by Scottish singer-songwriter Rafferty. His first solo release in 6 years, and first of any kind since 1975 due to his tenure in the band Stealers Wheel. Subsequent legal proceedings had prevented Rafferty from releasing any new solo work for a three year period. It contains the international hit "Baker Street".
Upon release the album was strongly received, peaking at number 1 in the U.S. and a higly respectable number 6 in the U.K.
