  "Lets Jump the Broomstick" was written by Charles Robins and first performed by the Nashville rockabilly group, Alvin Gaines & The Themes in February 1959. The Brenda Lee cover version was released a couple of months later in April of the same year. Her version peaked at #12 in the UK singles chart in 1961, and was featured on her self-titled 1960 album "Brenda Lee".
